Hey all! New week, new episode. Continue reading
I’m still on holidays, and apparently Calgary is under water as we speak. Weird.
Anyway, since I’m on holidays right now, and I put this episode together in a rush while I was packing, this is a bit of a weird one. It’s half new, and the other half is a rerun of episode 22, AKA the Canaduh Day episode from the Profane Existence days. Since this will be airing (webbing?) the day before Canada Day this will be an all-Canuck punk show. Again. Continue reading
Yep, it’s that time of the week again… church time! Everybody get yer hands together, get on yer fucking knees, and pray to the almighty for our everlasting souls, and pray that the inevitable collapse of our industrial culture and civilization will be relatively painless, with casualties only within the ranks of the oppressors. Amen.
Oh yeah, and it’s father’s day today. Bring yer pa up to the computer speakers, hand him his pipe, coffee, and slippers. Turn up the volume, and let him enjoy this, his only hour of true enjoyment today.
While some may think of Sunday as a day to reflect upon their lives and their faith in some giant magical invisible old guy, the rest of us think of Sunday as the last hurrah before another week of pain and toil making other people richer. These people are the ones for whom this radio show is for. Up the punx, this pint’s for you. Cheers.
No, no, no. I didn’t become some uber-nationalist hooligan or anything stupid like that. Last year I decided to use Canada Day as an excuse to celebrate the rich punk history of this land of maple syrup. In case you forgot, here’s what I played:
DOA – america the beautiful
KNUCKLEHEAD – avarice
BUNCHOFUCKINGOOFS – creating criminals to create employment
SHITLOADS OF FUCK ALL – pawn
THE BAYONETTES – tension
AFTER THE BOMBS – to the void and back
BLACK KRONSTADT – paranoid delusions
ISKRA – okeanos
CONTAGIUM – stench of tomorrow
BONE BLACK – white window
NAPALM RAID – to serve and arrest
GLOBAL HOLOCAUST – system illusion
STATE OF MINEFIELDS – hide in the dark
CHUPACABRA – static
MASSGRAVE – your bullshit exposed
SUBMISSION HOLD – turpentine
PROPAGANDHI – dear coach’s corner
THE MARTYR INDEX – 1936
